The Coniston Water Festival has been an iconic event for over 100 Years.Coniston Water in the Lake District was where Donald Campbell in 1955 broke the water speed record. Sadly he was also killed on Coniston some 22 years later. View his memorial on Coniston's village green.
The Coniston Water Festival celebrates the historical and cultural identity of the Coniston area. Overlooking the water is the famous Coniston Old Man mountain with its extensive slate quarries.
